SEO and AI On-Page Checker

One URL, one report: classic on-page and technical SEO checks plus how ready your page is for AI search. Fix what search engines and LLMs both care about. Every failed check comes with a plain-English fix, and the AI readiness layer shows what most audits never look at.

What is an on-page and AI audit.

An on-page audit is a structured health check of a single page: does it have one H1, a sensible title and description, clean heading structure, alt text on images, a canonical tag, no accidental noindex, HTTPS, a mobile viewport and enough substance to deserve a ranking. These checks have been the foundation of technical SEO for two decades, and they still decide whether Google can crawl, understand and rank the page at all.

What’s changed is who else is reading your page. ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google’s AI Overviews now consume the same HTML and decide whether to quote you in their answers. They care about some of the same things Google does, but they also weigh signals most SEO tools never check: whether structured data spells out what the page is, whether an llms.txt file guides AI crawlers, whether the page answers the question in its opening lines, and whether its facts are clean enough to lift into an answer.

This checker audits both layers in one pass. You get an overall 0 to 100 score built from three weighted parts: technical (40%), content (30%) and AI readiness (30%). Each part expands into individual pass, warn and fail checks, and every failure comes with a one-line fix. It’s the difference between knowing your page “scores 61” and knowing exactly which seven things to change this afternoon.

Here’s how it looks:

SEO and AI On-Page Checker

How to use the on-page checker.

Enter your page URL

Paste the full URL of the page you want audited. If you enter a bare domain, the checker audits your homepage. One page per audit, examined properly, beats a shallow skim of fifty.

Wait for the crawl and analysis

The tool renders your page the way a modern crawler does, JavaScript included, runs the technical checks, then reads the extracted content for the quality and AI readiness analysis. Most audits finish in well under a minute.

Read your score and sub-scores

The gauge shows your overall score, with separate bars for Technical, Content and AI Readiness. The weakest bar tells you where to spend your time first.

Work through the failed checks

Each category expands into individual checks marked pass, warn or fail. Every fail has a one-line fix, and the AI readiness section lists your schema types, llms.txt status, answer-first score and the top three content fixes in priority order.

Why we built this on-page checker.

Solvid has audited websites professionally since 2015, and our full-service audits run to more than 200 checks per site. Over 11+ years, the first step of every engagement has never changed: pull up the client’s most important page and see what’s broken. What has changed is the checklist. Two years ago, nobody asked whether a page had llms.txt or an answer-first structure. Now those questions decide whether AI engines cite you.

We couldn’t find a free checker that treated both worlds seriously. Classic on-page tools ignore AI readiness entirely; the new wave of AI tools skips the technical fundamentals that still decide whether anything gets crawled at all. So we combined our audit team’s technical checklist with the AI readiness rubric from our GEO service and made the single-page version free. It’s genuinely the first pass we’d run on your site anyway.

A note on scope: This tool audits one page at a time, deliberately. Site-wide problems like crawl depth, internal linking patterns and duplicate content need a full crawl, which is what our website audit service is for.

How the checker works.

The technical layer crawls your URL through a professional page-rendering service with JavaScript enabled, the same way modern search engines see it. From the rendered page it checks title and description presence and length, H1 count and heading hierarchy, word count, images missing alt text, internal and external link counts, load metrics, canonical tags, indexability directives, HTTPS and the mobile viewport meta. Alongside that, the tool makes its own checks for robots.txt, sitemap.xml and llms.txt, and parses every JSON-LD block on the page to list the schema types it found.

The content and AI layer sends the page’s extracted text and heading structure through one structured AI analysis with a fixed rubric. It returns a content quality score, an answer-first structure score, a one-line reading of the page’s topic and audience, citability notes and the top three content fixes, quoted in the report exactly as generated.

The overall score blends the three parts with published weights: technical 40%, content 30%, AI readiness 30%. The sub-scores always add up to the total, every failed check maps to a specific fix, and nothing in the report is padded to make the audit look bigger than it is.

Please Note:

1. This tool is provided for free, as-is. Audit findings are a diagnostic snapshot, not a guarantee of rankings, AI citations, traffic or any other outcome.

2. Some checks depend on your server allowing our crawler through. Blocked or unverifiable items are labelled as such rather than scored blindly.

3. Fair-use rate limits apply so the tool stays free for everyone. Please only audit pages you own or have a genuine professional interest in.

4. If you choose to email yourself a report, we store that address to send it and may follow up once. We do not sell your data.

FAQ.

Common questions about the SEO & AI On-Page Checker and your report.
What is an on-page SEO audit?
It is a structured review of a single page: titles, headings, content, links, indexability, speed signals and markup. The goal is to find everything on the page itself that stops it ranking as well as it could, with a fix for each issue.
What is llms.txt?
A plain-text file at your site root that gives AI crawlers a curated map of your most important content. It is an emerging convention rather than a ranking factor, but it costs minutes to add and the checker tells you if it is missing.
Does it crawl my whole website?
No, it audits the single URL you enter, with JavaScript rendering enabled so modern pages are read properly. Auditing one page deeply beats skimming fifty. For a full-site crawl, our website audit service covers hundreds of checks across every page.
Is the report really free?
Yes. You can run a full audit and read every finding without paying or creating an account. Emailing yourself a copy is optional. We keep it free because it is the same first pass we run for prospective clients anyway.
What does the AI readiness layer check?
Whether AI engines can read, trust and quote your page: structured data types found, llms.txt presence, answer-first structure, extractable facts and content clarity. These signals decide if your page gets cited in AI answers, not just ranked in Google.
How is the overall score weighted?
Technical checks carry 40%, content quality 30% and AI readiness 30%. The three sub-scores are shown separately in the report, so you can see at a glance whether your problem is plumbing, writing or machine readability.
What if my page blocks crawlers?
The checker reports what it can verify and clearly labels the rest as unverifiable rather than guessing. If your page blocks all robots, that finding is itself the most important result of the audit, and it will be flagged first.
How often should I re-check a page?
After every meaningful edit, and quarterly otherwise. Templates change, plugins update and content drifts stale. Important commercial pages deserve a re-check whenever their rankings or AI citations move in a direction you did not expect.
